We, Scheja & Partners GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter also referred to as “we” or “us”), hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data and your rights.

The information in this privacy policy refers to the collection and processing of your personal data in connection with your visit to our XING profile, insofar as this is carried out by us.

The “XING” platform is operated by New Work SE, Am Strandkai 1, 20457 Hamburg (hereinafter “XING”). In connection with your visit to this platform, data processing is also carried out by XING. XING provides information about its data processing at https://privacy.xing.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung.

Please note that XING also processes your personal data when you visit our company profile, even if you do not have a user account or are not logged in.

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), provided that the respective legal requirements are met: 

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to obtain information about the data processed about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can request the rectification of inaccurate data concerning you. In addition, you can request the completion of incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): In certain cases, you may request the erasure of your personal data.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): In certain cases, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): If you have provided data on the basis of a contract or consent and the processing is carried out using automated procedures, you can request that the data you have provided be provided to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or that it be transferred to another controller.

Right to object in individual cases 

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 f) GDPR at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. Your personal data will then no longer be processed for these purposes, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

3. Details on functionalities

3.1 Interaction (use of company profile functions) 

Data categories:
Profile name, profile picture, “Like” information, comment, follow information, “Send application” information, time period of the comment, content of the message, date and time of the message.

Purpose(s):
Information about our company and current job vacancies, interaction with visitors, improvement of the user experience, receipt and processing of inquiries, complaints, or other feedback.

Legal basis
Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR (balancing of interests). In doing so, we pursue the legitimate interest of communicating with visitors to the XING profile and providing information about current topics.

If you contact us via XING for the purpose of concluding a contract with us, Article 6 para. 1 b) GDPR is the legal basis for processing.

Recipients:
Internal departments, agencies for profile management.

Third-country transfer:
No.

Storage period:
All other personal data will only be processed for as long as it is visible on the company profile. The visibility can be determined by the data subject themselves (e.g., deletion of a comment).

3.2 Processing of page insights in joint responsibility with XING 

Data categories: 
Page insights; In the form of statistics, we receive anonymized information from XING about how many users visit the page, at what time, and how they interact with it. The categories of personal data processed include age, gender, language, and other data provided by you (more detailed information is available from XING here). 

Purpose(s): 
Optimization of our offering and to ensure more effective communication with interested parties. 

Legal basis 
Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 f) GDPR (balancing of interests). In doing so, we pursue the legitimate interest of improving our offering on XING.
